March 2026 Morning Creativity Mini Showcase

March 2026 Morning Creativity Mini Showcase

March was the last month of Morning Creativity as run by Jageunbae, at least for a while. I felt sad about it ending, so I proposed we keep it going on our own under the name “Jogan Jayul Changchim” (a self-organized morning creativity session), and Jageunbae liked the idea too — so I think we’ll probably keep it going in a looser form. In March I wrote 16 morning journals, and between building blog features, launching a Chrome extension, and kicking off Above Coding Club, it turned out to be a month where I made quite a lot of things as spring arrived. Tech Philosophy

Tech Philosophy Group — Netflyeonga ‘Algorithm Rebels Club Season 1’

  • Session 3 (3/2) — ‘Relationships: Can AI ease our loneliness?’
  • Session 4 (3/21) — ‘Society: A society for the people hidden from view’
  • We wrapped up the final session of this season. Preparing for it was tiring at times, but sharing so many conversations made it a genuinely joyful experience. With so much already on my plate these days, I was thinking of holding the next season in the second half of the year.. but watching how fast AI is moving lately, it feels like the right timing for timely conversations, so we decided to start the next season in May.

Blogging / Hobby Coding

Blog Feature Development & Writing 🏠

ECG Heartbeat Graph → Chrome Extension 🫀

  • I wanted to apply the ECG graph from my blog to my GitHub contributions too, so I built it as a Chrome extension (3/20–3/26)
  • ECGitHub launched on the Chrome Web Store!
  • The ECGitHub dev story
  • An extension that turns your GitHub contribution graph into an ECG heartbeat! What started as a bit of fun made it all the way to an official release.
  • After publishing the extension, I kept getting emails from promoters saying that if I paid them.. they’d help promote it, haha. But I didn’t… and as a result, the download count didn’t grow, heh.

Above Coding Club Launch 🖥️

  • Created a hobby-coding community centered on Claude Code together with friends (3/25)
  • above-coding-club.vercel.app
  • First workshop planned for April 5 in Seochon, Seoul
  • The goal is to help domain experts become people who build their own tools. Three of us friends decided to run it slowly and steadily — hosting workshops about twice a month, with workshop participants gradually building up into a community. It’s a little scheme I’m excited about.

Grape Calendar 🍇

  • 3/5 Resolved an API key permission issue after asking Gangdan for help (it may have actually been a Discourse update issue)
  • Yunjae said, “The grapes are so cute I come back every day to write my journal” — made it all worth building!!
  • creatorsmorinng.vercel.app still up and running

Publy & Teaching AI Coding ✍️

  • Replied to and moved forward with the Publy article pitch on Claude Cowork/Code (3/15)
  • Fourth article currently in progress
  • Worked on a loanword review tool for a humanities book editor (3/6)
  • Built a tool my drama-PD friend needed, using AI
  • Vibe-coding tutoring for an analyst with 26 years of experience (3/2)

Seocheon House / Routines

Seocheon House & Welcoming Spring 🌸

  • Late March weekend, admired camellias in Seocheon
  • Organized the first episode of the Seocheon House seasonal invitation, ‘Spring, Camellias’

Piano & Routines 🎹

  • Piano practice — LOVE melody fake and more
  • Kept up piano lessons (3/2)
  • Maintained squash, health care, and household bookkeeping
  • Continued developing a personal finance app (MoneyBoard) (3/1–3/4)

March Creative Plans vs What Actually Happened

For March’s Changchim I didn’t make many plans. And somehow that seems to have led me to get more done! It’s got me thinking a little about how I should plan and live through April. Maybe a simple plan is what makes each day richer :) —

Unexpected Wins

  • 🫀 Built the ECGitHub Chrome extension and officially launched it on the Web Store
  • 🖥️ Launched the Above Coding Club community + planned workshops
  • 🌏 Built the Korean-English toggle for the blog
  • 📝 Small tools like a Threads upload tool and a loanword review tool

Closing Out March

March was officially the last month of Morning Creativity, but rather than feeling like an ending, it felt more like an expansion. Deciding to carry it on as Jogan Jayul Changchim, and creating Above Coding Club — I think both came from the same desire to keep up a rhythm of making things together rather than alone. Doing things on my own is nice too, but it made me realize I’m someone who gets more energy when doing things with others. March had its share of stress, but spring has arrived, and after seeing the camellias in Seocheon I came back fully recharged with the season’s energy — so I’ll do a proper Q1 retrospective to send off the first quarter well, and welcome the coming Q2 and the warm spring!~
