I know intellectually that each person's life takes a different shape. Even if we are all together in this moment, I cannot know all the time that came before this moment. So even when we are together, we are not all the same. Even if we seem similar now, yesterday we were different, and tomorrow we may change again. Knowing this intellectually and accepting it deep in my heart are two different matters. If we don't accept it deep in our hearts, jealousy blossoms within, and comparisons with ourselves arise. Perhaps this isn't because of technology. It might simply be some inherent human trait.
What makes us human? What is humanity? What makes us human isn't clever thoughts or flawless logic, but perhaps this very contradiction? Saying you like something one moment, then dislike it the next, hiding the real behind the fake.
